Beelzebub, also known as Beelzebul or Baal-Zebub, is one of the most ancient and formidable names in Western demonology. Originally associated with the deity of Ekron, his name later became that of the Prince of Demons, a mighty infernal ruler whose authority was feared throughout centuries of religious and occult tradition.

Known as the Lord of the Flies, Beelzebub embodies the unsettling union of sovereignty and decay. Flies, corruption and the inevitable destruction of earthly things became inseparable from his image, while later demonological writings placed him among the highest powers of Hell, associated with pride, rebellion and infernal dominion.

Yet Beelzebub's symbolism extends beyond corruption and destruction. In modern occult traditions, he is also associated with the pursuit of forbidden knowledge, spiritual independence and the will to challenge established authority. His name evokes the mysteries of power and the ancient struggle between divine order and infernal rebellion.
