Azazel is considered a demon or fallen angel, often associated with knowledge, transformation, and personal power. His character may be interpreted in various ways, but he is sometimes invoked for specific rituals and magical practices.

In the Hebrew Bible, particularly in the Book of Leviticus (Leviticus 16:8-10), Azazel is mentioned in the context of the Day of Atonement (Yom Kippur). He is associated with the "scapegoat" ritual. On this holy day, two goats were chosen: one was offered as a sacrifice to God, and the other, referred to as the "scapegoat," had the sins of the people symbolically placed upon it.

The scapegoat was then sent into the wilderness to carry away the sins of the community. In this context, Azazel represents the removal and atonement of sin. In certain apocryphal texts like the Book of Enoch, Azazel is depicted as one of the fallen angels or Watchers. These angels descended to Earth, interacted with humans, and taught forbidden knowledge, including metallurgy and warfare. Azazel's role in these texts is associated with corruption and the imparting of forbidden wisdom. These texts present Azazel as a more complex, sometimes malevolent figure. PU cord as a gift.
