The Seal of Decarabia comes from the Ars Goetia tradition, where Decarabia, also called Carabia, is named as the 69th spirit and a Great Marquis of Hell. He is said to command thirty legions and is traditionally described as appearing first in the form of a five-pointed star before taking human shape.

Decarabia is strongly connected with the hidden virtues of herbs and precious stones. In Goetic symbolism, this gives his seal an earthy, natural, and alchemical character: knowledge of plants, minerals, healing lore, magical correspondences, and the secret powers believed to live within matter itself.
